Skaha Lake Boat Rentals in Penticton, BC

Looking for the perfect Skaha Lake boat rental? You've come to the right place.

Skaha Lake is Penticton's best-kept secret! It’s smaller and provides calmer days than Okanagan Lake. Whether you're planning a family day on the water, teaching the kids to wakeboard, or just want a peaceful cruise with friends, a Skaha boat rental provides the ideal setting.

At just 11.8 kilometers long, Skaha Lake is easy to navigate and explore in a single day. But don't let the size fool you. This lake packs in stunning mountain views, warm swimming spots, and some of the best watersports conditions in the Okanagan.

Why Rent a Boat on Skaha Lake?

Perfect for Families

Skaha Lake's calm, protected waters make it ideal for families with kids. The smaller size means you're never far from shore, but still plenty of room for swimming, tubing, and exploring. Parents love the peace of mind that comes with Skaha's mellower vibe.

Warmer Water

Here's something most people don't realize: Skaha Lake warms up faster and stays warmer longer than Okanagan Lake, reaching temperatures of about 22°C in peak summer. If you actually want to swim (and not just dip your toe in), Skaha is where it's at.

Easy to Explore

You can cruise the entire lake in under an hour, which makes it perfect for half-day rentals or casual afternoon outings. Hit every beach, check out all the coves, and still have time to anchor and swim.

Great for Watersports

The smaller size and calmer conditions make Skaha Lake perfect for wakeboarding, waterskiing, and tubing. Smooth water means better rides, cleaner wakes, and fewer whitecaps to fight through. First-timers especially love learning on Skaha.

Convenient Location

Our Skaha Lake Marina location gives you quick, easy access to the water. Pull up, grab your boat, and you're on the lake in minutes. Less time prepping, more time enjoying.

What to Do on Skaha Lake

Sightseeing & Scenic Cruising

One of the best parts of renting a boat on Skaha Lake is seeing the area from the water. Cruise past the cliffs of Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park on the eastern shore and check out vineyards from wineries on the hillside. You'll see stunning lakefront homes, the 21-acre Skaha Lake Park from a different angle, and get views of the mountains that frame the lake. It's a completely different perspective than what you see from the road.

Fishing

Skaha Lake has rainbow trout, kokanee, and smallmouth bass. Early mornings and evenings are your best bet. Just make sure you have a valid BC fishing license.

Swimming & Cliff Jumping

The water really is warmer here, which makes swimming actually enjoyable (not just tolerable). There are also a few spots where the more adventurous can jump off rocks into deep water…ask us for recommendations and always use your best judgment!

Watersports

Wakeboarding, waterskiing, tubing, kneeboarding, kayaking…whatever you're into, Skaha delivers. The smooth water in the mornings is especially prime for wakeboarding and surfing.
